Why Do My Screenshots Have a Black Background?

You copy a transparent PNG from Google Images, paste it into Word or Paint, and the background turns black. This is a clipboard limitation.
The Fix
Always download the file first! Do not copy-paste. If the file is a WebP (which often causes this), convert it first using our WebP to PNG Tool to ensure the alpha channel (transparency) is correctly interpreted by your software.
